About the role
The Desktop Support Co-Op provides hands-on technical support to employees across desktop, laptop, mobile device, and printer technologies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a student to build practical IT experience while supporting end users, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with experienced technology professionals in a dynamic environment.
This role is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students graduating between December 2026 and December 2028. It is based in Dayton, OH, with no relocation assistance provided. U.S. citizenship is required based on applicable regulatory, contractual, or security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and install desktop and laptop systems, including data migration, software installation, and end-user support.
- Provide general end-user support for enterprise desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Resolve technical issues involving hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and connectivity.
- Participate in the resolution of desktop computer issues, including hardware and printer troubleshooting, software installation, hardware peripherals, and daily backup procedures.
- Liaise with third-party software and hardware vendors to support problem resolution.
- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure operating issues using software and hardware monitoring tools.
- Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for hardware, software, telecommunications, business applications, and customer connectivity issues as assigned.
- Collaborate with other technical support roles in the Dayton office and assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled student working towards an Associate’s or advanced degree in IT, MIS, CS, Business, or a related field.
- Customer-focused approach with strong collaboration skills.
- Basic technical and troubleshooting skills with Windows, Mac, and iOS.
- Understanding of AI, common AI tools, and potential workplace applications of AI.
- Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Available to work 19 hours per week while taking classes.
- Able to work on-site in Dayton, Ohio.
Pay
Starting at $18/hour based on education.
