We are seeking candidates with 1+ year of experience in desktop publishing and printing to join our team in NYC. Responsibilities

  • Creating CMYK or RGB print-ready files for large format printing.
  • Converting files to the best format for printing on large format printers.
  • Resizing and editing files to specific sizes using Adobe Photoshop CC and/or Adobe Illustrator CC.
  • Designing and creating images for special announcements (e.g., fire drills, construction, retirement banners, annual events).
  • Daily use of Canon IPF8100 and HP DesignJet Z6600 large format printers.
  • Changing 36” and 42” rolls of satin photo paper in large format machines.
  • Calibrating machines weekly for optimal color matching.
  • Installing new ink tanks, print heads, and cutter blades weekly.
  • Mounting prints to foam board using the Smooth Mount Laminator PBLMIL-4025.
  • Trimming mounted foam boards using a wall cutter as needed.
  • Operating mailing, copy, and fax equipment.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer care with a friendly and cooperative attitude.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending/receiving faxes, and sorting mail.
  • Handling shipping and receiving, ordering supplies, and updating employee lists.
  • Pick-up and delivery of mail, parcels, copy jobs, and faxes to customers.
  • Lifting large bundles of mail, overnight packages, and shipments of paper (up to 55 pounds).
  • Handling time-sensitive material like confidential or urgent packages.
  • Maintaining copier equipment and adhering to safety procedures.
  • Demonstrating flexibility in a high-volume, production environment.
  • Adhering to business procedure guidelines and taking direction from supervisors.
  • Participating in cross-training and maintaining logs/reporting documentation.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of document design/print production experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); college degree is a plus and allows for a fast-track to management.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Keyboarding and Windows PC skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks.
  • Ability to meet employer’s attendance policy.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.

Pay

$22.00/hour USD.

Schedule

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with mandatory overtime as needed until 7:00 PM.
