About the role
A day in the life of a Designer – Women’s Apparel at The North Face involves elevating design expression and creating best-in-industry women’s performance and performance-inspired apparel for global exploration. You’ll support the Women’s Apparel Design Team in seasonal product design, from research and concepts to tech-packing, across Snow, Climb, Trail, and lifestyle categories.
- Collaborate on seasonal research, tool updates, concepts, product design, and tech-packing.
- Work on moderately complex products, including presentation tools and design deliverables.
- Present design work at seasonal gates, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Apply deep understanding of brand aesthetic, materials, technologies, fit, and cost engineering to meet consumer and business needs.
- Contribute to team reviews, workshops, and milestones with a passion for details and learning.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in performance and lifestyle apparel design, preferably with a focus on women’s apparel.
- Preferred knowledge of outerwear and sportswear design and product construction.
- Strong product acumen with working knowledge of apparel product development processes (design, development, sourcing, manufacturing).
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong sketching skills, excellent tech-pack creation, and attention to detail.
- Experience in research, prototyping, and concepting across lifestyle and performance products.
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and deadlines proactively.
- Growth mindset, adaptability, and enthusiasm for problem-solving.

- 3D design experience.
- Experience using AI rendering tools.
- International work experience and market understanding.
- Basic pattern and construction capabilities.
- Circular design experience and understanding.

Pay
Hiring range: $82,080.00 – $102,600.00 USD annually. This position is eligible for additional compensation awards, including annual incentives, sales incentives, or commission potential.
