About the Role

Responsibilities
- Create Engineering Change Requests to document required changes against existing products
- Design products using Creo and revise engineering drawings to maintain legacy product data
- Support configuration changes based on new customer sales
- Assist with builds on the production floor
- Respond to internal and external technical help requests
- Conceptualize new product designs and improvements for existing products
- Construct and test prototypes
- Research and select materials/parts for product designs
- Create drawing packages and validate new designs (modeling, analyzing, drafting, BOM creation)
- Mark up drawings and create redlines for engineering incorporation
- Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Support development and qualification testing
- Evaluate product non-conformities
- Work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet program objectives and deadlines
Requirements
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a high degree of initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with high self-motivation
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Creo and Windchill
- Proficiency in 3-D modeling and 2-D drafting
- Proficiency with ASME Y14 drafting and design standards
- Working knowledge of FAA Certification Practices
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Material Sciences, or related field
- 0-3 years’ experience in engineering or related industry (aerospace preferred)
Work Environment
Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment. Employees must adhere to company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when required.
