Designer/Drafter CAD Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintains engineering drawings and files and may assist in other engineering related projects as needed.
• Drafting engineering drawings using SolidWorks
• Perform Engineering Change Order tasks
• Take directions from engineers to draw or sketch pump station designs and other components
• Create digital files that are used for CNC fabrication equipment such as pipe cutting equipment, waterjet, laser cutting
• Interact with ERP system to create Bill-of-Materials in Peoplesoft and Oracle Fusion
• Support manufacturing with drawings required to fabricate or assemble pump station welded pipe and assembly

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in using SolidWorks
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-paced office facility environment
• Knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals such as welding practices, machine design, sheet metal design, and dimensional layout work

Desired Qualifications

• SolidWorks Certification
• Associates degree in CAD technology
