Responsibilities
- Work in a team environment with plant engineering, maintenance and department personnel.
- Communicate with project team, maintenance and department personnel.
- Attend plant engineering project and safety meetings.
- Produce drawings - layouts, P&ID’s, process flow diagrams, piping, structural, electrical, fabrication, installation.
- Produce print plots, copy prints and convert prints to PDF format.
- Take field measurements.
- Beam calculations and deck design.
- Design in compliance with OSHA regulations as they pertain to construction, ladders, railings, decks, piping, electrical, ASME pressure vessels.
- Review vendor equipment drawings.
- Write material lists, quote materials, write purchase requisitions, track material.
- Archive all prints and material lists, assist plant in finding archived materials.
- Support GTP with graphic art for SEA and plant needs.
- Support maintenance providing flat patterns and part drawings.
- Any other tasks that GTP feels are relevant and required for this position.
Requirements
- 2-year Cad/Drafting Degree or equivalent.
- 8-12 years of experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCad.
- Ability to work at a computer for 8 hours a day.
- Requires the ability to take measurements in a chemical plant environment.
- May include wearing additional PPE (respirator, fall arrest harness, gloves, chemical suit, hearing protection).
- Confined space entry may be required.
- Working at heights may be required.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)3, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
