Designer Drafter

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and layouts for infrastructure and energy projects.
• Work closely with engineers to translate design concepts and project specifications into precise, scaled drawings.
• Support the engineering team by providing technical assistance and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the success of infrastructure and energy projects by ensuring that all drawings and designs meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate's Degree in drafting or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years of drafting experience or 10 years of related field experience.
• Proficient experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation design software.
• Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs as required.
• Understanding and following all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives.
• Experience conducting self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others (Engineers, Designers, Project Managers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design and drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in the Nuclear, Utilities, or Power Industry is preferred.

Pay

USD $80,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
