Designer/Drafter

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings, designs and BOMs using CAD software based on specifications and requirements.
• Make modifications to existing designs as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide design solutions.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all drawings and design documents.
• Review and verify the accuracy of drawings, designs, and BOMs ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Assist with project planning and coordination, providing technical support as needed, adhering to all project timelines.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform other design and drafting-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree in mechanical.
• Proven experience in drafting and design, preferably in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other design tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
