Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings, designs and BOMs using CAD software based on specifications and requirements.
- Make modifications to existing designs as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide design solutions.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all drawings and design documents.
- Review and verify the accuracy of drawings, designs, and BOMs ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Assist with project planning and coordination, providing technical support as needed, adhering to all project timelines.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other design and drafting-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree in mechanical.
- Proven experience in drafting and design, preferably in a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other design tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
