Designer/Drafter

About the role

On-site in Bloomfield, CT. This position supports Service Engineering’s Design Services group, focusing on packaging for sheet metal, PCB, and electromechanical components. The role requires managing multiple tasks, collaborating effectively, and responding to requests in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise detailed drawings, models, and assemblies using Creo.
• Support design activities for components, assemblies, and packaging solutions.
• Utilize Windchill to manage document control and workflow processes.
• Track, update, and communicate project status to management.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards and policies.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of relevant electromechanical design and drafting experience.
• Proficiency with Creo and Windchill Data Management.
• Demonstrated capability in packaging for sheet metal, PCB, and electromechanical components.
• Strong creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail orientation with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Proficiency in interpreting and producing technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of machines, tools, and their applications.
• Understanding of engineering principles and their practical application.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical school training, or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated career progression from Drafter to Designer.
• Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent training preferred.

Pay

$37.00 to $42.00/hr. (W2 basis)
