Designer

Essential Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for projects such as FTTH deployments and commercial developments
• Work with power companies and design power route and one-line schematics
• Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes
• Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records
• Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes
• Conduct site walks for data collection and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Able to adapt within a dynamic work environment

Qualifications

• Education: College, Trade, or Technical Diploma (preferably civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS)
• Experience: 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD
• Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe. GIS is a plus
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate effectively

Work Conditions

Office-based (90%) with occasional travel (We're thrilled to announce the opening of our new office in Florence, Kentucky soon to become our central hub for collaboration and growth. This role will begin as a remote (work-from-home) position and will transition to a full-time, in-office role based in Florence once the new location is operational.
