About the Role

Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer‑aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as CAD, CAM, or CATIA. Gathers information, conducts studies, performs calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposals. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups, considering ease of manufacture, material availability, and contractual specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs to improve products and support manufacturing.
• Use CAD, CAM, CATIA, or similar computer‑aided design tools to create and refine designs.
• Gather technical information, conduct studies, perform calculations, and develop rough layouts and sketches for design proposals.
• Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning teams, ensuring manufacturability, material availability, and compliance with contractual specifications.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree (or other 2‑year technical degree) in a related discipline with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Full‑time, 1st shift position.
• Travel required 10 %–25 % of the time.
