Designated Selling Associate - Uppa Baby - Tysons Corner Center
We’re looking for a Designated Selling Associate (DSA) Salesperson who is passionate about fashion, enjoys working one-on-one with customers, and thrives in a sales environment. DSAs drive volume for Nordstrom while championing the brand they represent, leading in customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and selling.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling using tools like text, social media, and reservations.
- Build lasting relationships with customers and provide exceptional service tailored to their needs, occasionally working across departments or brands.
- Offer honest, confident feedback on style, fit, and wardrobe value to customers.
- Seek fashion and product knowledge through meetings and trainings to build expertise.
- Collaborate with other DSAs, Stylists, and departments by leading product knowledge meetings.
- Provide valid product feedback to District Managers to improve store assortments.
- Drive predictable business through appointment-based selling during events and non-event periods.
- Maintain a customer-ready department by stocking, re-merchandising, handling displays, price markdowns, transfers, and cleaning.
- Grow sales by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.

- Deep understanding of customers’ holistic wardrobe and style, with strong organizational skills to strategically follow up and advise on wardrobe completion.
Physical Requirements
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Handling bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head.
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Pay
This role offers an hourly pay range of $19.95 - $19.95, depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Commission varies by merchandise sold: apparel, shoes, and accessories typically range from 3% to 14.5%, while Beauty and Men’s Fragrance roles typically receive 3%. Performance-based incentives or bonuses may also be available.
