Design Technology BIM Lead
About the Role
At the heart of Gensler’s People + Process + Technology approach, the Design Technology Community drives the firm’s digital transformation across creative and project delivery practices worldwide. Our goal is to co-create a design technology ecosystem that enables Gensler to apply advanced methodologies and technological solutions, unlock new levels of creativity, and deliver more impactful designs for our clients. This position requires expertise in Building Information Technology authoring and coordination software, with a primary focus on Revit and Forma. The Design Technology BIM Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for design teams, guiding them on standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. This role will engage studio members at all levels to rethink how design technology shapes everyday processes and to deliver new, more effective ways of working.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development for new digital design workflows
- Lead digital design orientation and training
- Coach and support studios and individuals in design technology practices
- Establish and document processes, procedures, and workflows
- Develop and manage Revit templates and resources
- Manage Forma project data and coordination
- Support development of and compliance with BIM Execution Plans
- Support integration of AI into BIM practices
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent
- 8-15 years of experience in design or construction practice
- Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Revit, Forma, and related Building Information Modeling software
- Experience with other design and visualization applications such as Rhino, Enscape, Navisworks, etc.
- Experience with computational design applications such as Dynamo and Grasshopper
- A demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training, and provide ongoing education and support to users and project teams
- Articulate communicator able to convey digital design concepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals

- An ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands

Pay
The base salary will be estimated between $120,000-$140,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
