Design Technician III

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Design Technician III with our medical device client in Lafayette, CO. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. Pay: $35.00 - $45.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship. Description: Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing and field service operations.Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools, such as CAD, CAM, CATIA, ProEngineer, Solidworx or Siemens NX Software.Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal.Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications. Nice to Have:2 - 5 years experience with a BS Packaging or related engineering field (e.g. Mechanical or Materials)A Bachelor in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with ability to build custom fixtures.Ability to read drawings, BOMs, GD&T.Experience in mechanical assembly and components.Ability to work with vendors on dimensions and order components.Ability to qualify equipment in medical device mfg. assembly line.Experience in working in a med device company in a cleanroom environment.
