Responsibilities

  • Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing and field service operations.
  • Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools, such as CAD, CAM, CATIA, ProEngineer, Solidworx or Siemens NX Software.
  • Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
  • Supports design teams in developing and improving products for manufacturing and field performance.
  • Builds and debugs systems involving: Embedded controllers (microprocessors, FPGAs), power electronics and custom magnetics, analog circuits, sensors, and instrumentation, communication interfaces and touchscreen UI system.
  • Executes lab testing using oscilloscopes, function generators, impedance analyzers, and related tools.
  • Executes validation, verification, and reliability testing; analyzes results and documents findings.
  • Develops and fabricates test setups and fixtures using shop tools (3D printers, drill press, mill, etc.).
  • Leads or supports small technical projects, proposes solutions, and drives resolution of issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant electronics technician experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Electronic lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, signal generators, analyzers), advanced soldering techniques (fine-pitch, QFN, BGA components).
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as Cadence OrCAD and Allegro.
  • Working knowledge of LabVIEW and embedded system programming.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, automotive, or aerospace.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently on non-routine tasks.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Technical certification or associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and sustaining engineering preferred.
  • Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing processes and failure analysis preferred.
  • Exposure to design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
