About the role
The Role: The Design Technician II within the Coronary & Renal Denervation (CRDN) Design Assurance Laboratory at Medtronic's Mounds View site focuses on Quality support across all aspects of Product Development Process (PDP) from pre-market to post-market product surveillance. Responsibilities include performing complex electrical and hardware tests, updating the team, and contributing to investigations associated with product testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex electrical and hardware tests
- Provide updates to the broader team
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel for data collection and documenting processes
- Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
- Identify, document, and improve known or potential issues in the lab
- Maintain quality standards for all activities associated with product testing
- Contribute to investigations associated with product testing
- Comply with all applicable department, site-wide procedures and regulations
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical education, or certification
- Hands-on testing experience in a controlled laboratory setting
- Electrical testing experience: understanding of basic electrical principles, circuits, and components
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with equipment such as LCR’s, Oscilloscopes, multimeters
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly provide testing updates and promptly communicate issues as they arise
- Good documentation practices (GDP) skills
