Design Technician

What You’ll Do (Core Duties + Responsibilities)

• Create accurate material lists so every project has exactly what it needs
• Build detailed Revit models and shop drawings (walls, beams, slopes, layouts, etc.)
• Develop structural calculations for joists and trusses
• Ensure designs are clear, complete, and construction-ready
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, customers & internal teams
• Solve problems and continuously improve designs for efficiency and accuracy

Your Growth Journey

• Early days: Learn the ropes with hands-on projects & mentorship
• Middle level: Take ownership, solve challenges, manage your own projects
• Pro level: Lead complex builds, make key design decisions, review others’ work, and help raise the bar

What You Bring (Minimum Requirements)

• 2-year degree or certificate in Engineering, Architectural Design, or related field
• Experienced in drafting and modelling with Revit and comfortable reading construction drawings
• Basic trigonometry skills and strong attention to detail
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Creative problem-solving and strong communication
• Team-first mindset

Bonus Points for

• Framing or construction experience
• Dynamo scripting experience
• Arkance Be.Smart program experience
• Structural wood design experience
