Our Orthopaedics teams help keep more than 6 million people moving each year while delivering clinical and economic value to surgeons and healthcare systems. We build solutions for joint reconstruction; trauma and craniomaxillofacial; sports, extremities, and elective foot and ankle; spine; and robotics and digital surgery. Responsibilities
- Develop and design surgical proposals, complete segmentation designs for total knee replacement (TKA) from computer tomography (CT) images, CAD models, and product drawings by following standardized work instructions.
- Cross-train in multiple departments.
- Analyze patient CT images to optimize product design and partner with a case management coordinator to prioritize proposals and product designs based on customer demand.
- Check and release previously designed image segmentation, proposals, and models to ensure a high level of quality.
- Assist with concept development under the supervision of Product Development Engineers or be assigned to special projects as needed.
- Work closely with Process Improvement Engineers to troubleshoot, solve problems, and provide suggestions for future improvements.
- Maintain a schedule of deadlines and tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with experience working in team-oriented project groups.
- Take initiative and be self-managing.
- Provide feedback and mentor as required.
- Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- Ensure subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices (if applicable).
- Ensure personal and Company compliance with all federal, state, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 1 year of design experience with CAD/CAM systems and advanced design applications.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of related job experience is preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of three-dimensional modeling and PLM software is required.
- Knowledge of orthopedic product design is required.
- Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and medical terminology is highly preferred.
- Drafting and layout experience, project or product management, GD&T, ASME, rapid prototyping applications, free-form modeling techniques, and engineering calculations is preferred.
- Experience with Unigraphics/NX, AMIRA, MIMICS, Parametric software, GeoMagic, and PLM is preferred.
Schedule
Hybrid on-site in Warsaw, IN. Up to 5% domestic travel required.
Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $64,000.00 - $102,350.00.
