Design Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage product design data, including entering new designs and updating existing designs, costs, and drawings
• Enter and revise Bills of Materials (BOMs), routers, and item master templates within the Oracle ERP system
• Support ERP system functionality across the facility and ensure system updates are accurate and up to date
• Provide design, costing, drawings, and manufacturing orders (MTOs) to support Customer Service, Sales, and Engineering teams
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Sales, and Accounting to ensure accurate product costing, quoting, and design information
• Facilitate and monitor the new order manufacturing process (MTO)
• Collaborate with Planning and Process Engineering to establish alternate resources and routing as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college certificate (2-year program) preferred
• Less than 1 year of experience required; 3–5 years preferred
• Strong mathematical and computer skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply cable industry specifications
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
