Design Project Manager - Federal

We’re seeking a Project Manager to be based in our Arlington, VA or additional Jacobs offices throughout the east coast.

As a member of our team, you will lead design projects consisting of multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and architects from design kick-off through construction. You will primarily support federal projects for DoD clients, Federal Civilian, and various Defense Contractors, delivering projects in both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple projects simultaneously while delivering on time, within project and construction budgets and in accordance with agreed-upon scope.
• Serving as the primary point of contact with the client throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Developing project scopes and fee proposals through coordination with discipline directors and design leads, and leading negotiations with clients.
• Creating and facilitating communication plans to ensure timely and effective information exchange among project stakeholders, and conducting regular status reviews with project teams and clients.
• Establishing, monitoring, and managing project financial metrics, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Overseeing the development and quality of project documentation and ensuring adherence to the Jacobs Quality Program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Professional Registration (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) is preferred; Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification will be considered
• Experience as a client facing Design Project Manager managing multiple disciplines
• US Citizenship

Ideally, you’ll also have demonstrated design and project management experience within Federal and/or DOD markets, and experience leading design teams in Design-Build contracts.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $106,000.00 to $170,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
