Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage aviation planning, design, and engineering projects from concept development through construction support and project closeout.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and specialty consultants.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocations to ensure successful project delivery.
- Cook with airport authorities, regulatory agencies, stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
- Oversee the preparation and review of engineering reports, design documents, construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure project designs comply with FAA regulations, airport standards, client requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Lead client meetings, design reviews, stakeholder workshops, and project presentations.
- Manage project communications and provide regular updates regarding scope, schedule, budget, and design progress.

- Coordinate and oversee design activities involving airport facilities, infrastructure, airside and landside improvements, and MEP systems.
- Support procurement efforts, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and business development activities.
- Provide construction-phase support, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, evaluating design modifications, and coordinating with construction teams.
- Foster strong client relationships and identify opportunities for continued growth and service expansion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Controls Engineering, Facility Automation, or related field.
- Experience designing or supporting BAS systems for large commercial, institutional, transportation, or aviation facilities.
- Experience with BAS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Johnson Controls Metasys, Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Honeywell, Automated Logic, or similar platforms.
- Experience with HVAC controls, energy management systems, and MEP system integration required.
- Experience with airport facilities, transportation infrastructure, or mission-critical facilities preferred.
