About the role
The Design Production Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Guilford, CT, with some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for producing high-quality visual design materials that support shoreline and in-water project proposals, permit applications, and client presentations. Day-to-day tasks include creating graphics and visual layouts, refining design concepts, preparing digital files for project documentation, and ensuring consistency with brand and project standards. The specialist will collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to translate technical information into clear visual content.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to translate technical information into clear visual content
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Graphic Design and visual communication to produce clear, accurate project visuals
- Experience creating and refining graphics for proposals, presentations, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop for image editing, rendering, and production of design assets
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign) for layout, illustration, and multi-page documents
- Ability to contribute to art direction, ensuring cohesive and professional visual standards across materials
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Previous experience in architecture, engineering, marine design, or related fields is beneficial
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience
