About the role
The Design & Production Services Associate supports the daily operations of Design & Production Services by coordinating customer service requests, print production activities, graphic design support, and administrative functions. This position assists internal customers, campus departments, and vendors while helping ensure efficient workflows, timely project completion, and consistent application of TSTC design and production standards. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external vendors, the Design & Production Services Associate supports project intake, production coordination, office operations, and customer service activities. The position contributes to the efficient delivery of design and print services through strong organization, attention to detail, effective communication, and responsive operational support.
Hiring range is $20.13 - $22.14 USD hourly. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience will be considered.
Responsibilities

- Customer Service & Project Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Design & Production Services by responding to inquiries, receiving service requests, explaining available services, timelines, and processes, and assisting customers through established production procedures.
- Coordinate project intake and schedule work to support timely completion of design and print requests.
- Production & Print Support
- Prepare, review, and verify files for print production to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Support production workflows by coordinating with internal staff and external vendors while helping ensure completed projects meet established specifications and customer expectations.
- Office Operations & Administrative Support
- Support daily office operations by maintaining workflow documentation, administrative records, inventory, and supply levels.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance requests, assist with estimates, invoicing support, service reporting, and other administrative activities in accordance with institutional procedures.
- Vendor & Production Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to support production schedules, project logistics, and service delivery.
- Maintain communication throughout the production process to support timely completion of projects and resolution of routine production issues.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work collaboratively with Creative Services staff, campus partners, and vendors to support project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Collect customer feedback, identify opportunities for routine process improvements, and assist with implementation of operational enhancements that improve efficiency and service quality.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in customer service, print production, graphic design support, office administration, service coordination, or a related operational support environment.
- Experience supporting print production, project coordination, administrative operations, or customer service activities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and standard office technology to support administrative and production functions.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Three years of experience supporting print production, creative services, customer service, or office operations.
- Experience working with print vendors, production equipment, or production management systems.
- Experience supporting marketing, communications, or creative services operations within higher education or a similar organizational environment.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, except in cases where a specific degree is required to meet accreditation standards, licensure requirements, or other legislative or regulatory obligations.

Pay
Hiring range is $20.13 - $22.14 USD hourly.
Schedule
This position primarily works on-site to support daily production operations, customer service activities, and collaboration with internal departments and vendors. Work is performed in an office and print production environment and may require frequent use of computers, printers, production equipment, and standard office technology. Duties may include lifting or moving printed materials and supplies consistent with normal production operations. Periodic travel between TSTC locations may be required to support institutional projects and operational needs.
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
