Design Principal Engineer

About the role

This position involves driving new technologies and mass production development by market sensing, generating concepts, and ensuring high-quality standards to meet customer satisfaction. Primarily desk work with potential travel, including overseas. Physical risks typical of office and shop environments, with occasional overtime. Adherence to safety and company policies is required. No visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of high-level drawings using CAD (2D/3D), ensuring fit, form, and specifications through calculations, simulations, and standards.
• Manage project teams to meet development targets, coordinate resources, and communicate progress.
• Develop and track bills of materials, control costs, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance competitiveness.
• Support quality and VA themes by analyzing root causes and implementing standards and prevention measures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 8+ years of engineering experience, preferably in Powersports or Power Equipment. Proven project leadership skills.
