About the role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation using the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Job Duties
- Applies an extensive knowledge of design management concepts, principles, methods and practices as well as knowledge of methods, practices and processes of engineering and science disciplines.
- Serves as Engineering's point of contact for issues related to technical quality.
- Executes role of Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on assigned projects.
- Collaborates with Project Manager (PM), Project Delivery Team (PDT), and Stakeholders to clearly define project scope, criteria, and schedule.
- Creates, manages, coordinates, reviews, and provides engineering and technical advice relative to quality, design cost, and design schedule aspects in the production of all design, construction, and operations and maintenance products.
Minimum Education Requirement
- All Professional Engineering Positions, 08XX Degree: Engineering.
- Architecture Series, 0808 Degree: architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems.
Specialized Experience
- Managing or assisting in the management of multi-disciplinary engineering, construction, or civil works projects from planning through execution.
- Developing and controlling comprehensive project management plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure milestones are met.
- Cross-functional teams to support the integration of technical requirements (such as engineering, real estate, and environmental).
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project status, facilitate agreements, and resolve project issues.

- A Professional Registration in Engineering (PE) or Architecture (RA) is required.
