Design Manager - Design Build
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Design Manager to support our municipal water and industrial water infrastructure projects. Design Centers are focused in the US and Canada but deliver projects globally. Focused designs deliver water and wastewater solutions, including the design of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water conveyance, and consulting for our industrial and municipal clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams through all phases of design – planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, quality as well as client expectations
- Manage and coordinate between multi-disciplinary teams for a wholistic delivery of industrial water design deliveries
- Must be highly organized with attention to detail
- Interface with clients on multi-disciplinary design decisions
- Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of the project manager, clients, and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs’ business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management
- Contribute to the development of the Industrial Water Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients
- Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and in support of Jacobs Culture of Caring work environment
Requirements
- BS or MS Degree in Engineering or other engineering discipline with a focus on water/wastewater systems
- Minimum 10 years engineering experience, with at least 5 years managing multidiscipline design teams
- Construction background is applicable
- IDEALLY: Experience with large scale Industrial Water projects
- IDEALLY: Experience with design/build, progressive design build, CMAR, or other collaborative delivery methods

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $138,000.00 to $210,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
