Design Manager

Responsibilities

• Cook up, plan, and oversee the work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out).
• Independently coordinate the work of professional staff and maintain balance across the entire project’s development.
• Build and nurture client relationships, participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
• Support business development by attending client meetings, presenting, crafting project proposals, and participating in interviews.
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.
• Conduct work sessions for design development and contract documents in conjunction with other staff.
• Coordinate workload throughout the project development and ensure completion of documents on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects, coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to ensure work is completed within agreed-upon schedule, scope, and budget.
• Collaborate with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed.

Qualifications

• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED.
• Familiarity with technology, media, telecom, data, data centers, hospitality, finance, aerospace, and entertainment market sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5 years related experience.
• The ability to interact with various design teams, excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Pay

$106,000 - $151,000, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
