Design, Graphic Design - Full-Time, Temporary, Non-Tenure Track Visiting Assistant Professor

The University of Central Oklahoma School of Design invites applications for a Temporary, Visiting, Full-time, Assistant Professor in Graphic Design.

About the Role

This position will include academic responsibilities at a School of Design offering B.F.A. degrees in Graphic and Interior Design. UCO Design seeks dynamic and motivated candidates with a high level of creative industry, social engagement, and commitment to department participation.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Design Foundations, Computer Graphics, Illustration, and other graphic design courses as needed.
• Adhere to the educational philosophy of the university and work in a collaborative manner with colleagues and professional peers.
• Prepare departmental reports as requested.

Qualifications

• An earned MFA degree or PhD in Graphic Design, Illustration, or related field requiring a minimum of 60 graduate hours awarded by a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in the field specified in the position announcement.
• Minimum one year of university teaching experience.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
• Demonstrated experience in graphic design or illustration.
• Ability to teach courses in graphic design, design foundations, illustration, digital and print production, digital design, and emerging technology.
