About Our Client:Nycom operates in the laboratory interior construction sector, focusing on specialized interior construction projects including laboratory furniture, equipment, and custom woodwork. Serving clients primarily in the educational, industrial, research, and healthcare markets, the organization has offices across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. About the Opportunity:The DESIGN ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN - SPECIALTIES is responsible for interpreting architectural and MEP drawings alongside internal cost estimates to create accurate shop drawings and bills of materials. This role supports project delivery by modeling and drafting primarily in Division 10 specialties, with potential involvement in related divisions. The technician collaborates with various team members to ensure the successful execution of projects. Responsibilities:Review and interpret architectural drawings to produce shop drawings for diverse projects.Complete shop drawings promptly in accordance with company standards.Manage project data, maintain documentation, and address queries using proprietary software.Operate independently in a deadline-driven, remote work setting.Solve problems in coordination with project team members. Requirements:Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.Proficient in Revit for modeling and data management.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.Proficiency in MS Office.Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, construction management, or 3+ years of drafting experience preferred.
