About the role

This position is for a Functional Manager of the ECAD drafting team supporting the Mission Systems Sector, in the Drafting Section of the Hardware Mechanical department in Baltimore, MD. The manager will have approximately 12 ECAD team members, split between drafting professionals and union personnel. This is a dual role manager position, involving technical responsibilities as well.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, master's degree with 3 years of experience, Ph.D. with 1 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret Clearance prior to starting (a current/active clearance is not required to be considered, but a final clearance is required to start)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ECAD design
  • 1 year of experience with people management, leading a technical drafting/design team, including workload management, performance reviews, and employee development/coaching
  • 1 year of experience leading a high performing team (technical, Integrated Product Team Lead, Agile, or functional management)
  • 3 years of experience working with printed wiring board or circuit card assembly design, layout, drawings, or other technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • A current/active U.S Government Secret clearance
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics
  • Expertise with Product Lifecycle Management methodologies
  • Experience leading process improvement, or introduction of new tools projects
  • Experience supporting or leading projects and or proposals
  • Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter software
  • Experience with Mentor Expedition and Siemens MPLM/Teamcenter
  • Experience with drafting or document release process
  • Experience with document or version configuration management for hardware specifications

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $157,600.00. Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
