Design Engineering Intern

Be the Legacy is an internship program and a valuable opportunity for individuals to gain practical work experience in the AEC field. Offering students the chance to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world situations, providing a bridge between academic learning and professional practice. Our hands-on learning experience will develop essential skills, build a professional network, and provide insights into your chosen career path. Come intern with us at our Omaha location! What you need

• Current student at an accredited college or university in a civil, environmental, or construction engineering program
• Ability to work with a team of unique personalities and professional styles
• Ability to perform self-motivated work, as well as collaborate and contribute to a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

You bring to the team

• Pursuing a degree in civil engineering or related field
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Passion for public works projects
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
