Design Engineer V

Join a leading global provider of product engineering and semiconductor design services. Contract Onsite Location: Sunnyvale, CA. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of experience in complex PCB Design, 5+ years of experience using Allegro PCB Design Tools (version 23.1 or newer).

Responsibilities

• Project Management & Execution: Manage multiple complex layout projects, provide timely status reports, lead designs from kick-off through tape-out, and collaborate with XFNs.
• Technical Expertise & Problem Solving: Apply electrical engineering principles, identify and solve design issues, and work with internal DFM engineers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Supplier Engagement: Partner with EE Leads, Mechanical Engineering, TPMs, and XFNs to resolve design issues, engage with external suppliers, and ensure high-yield builds.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with Cadence Allegro (v21).
• Rigid-flex and flexible circuit design experience.
• HDI (high-density interconnect) PCB design experience.
• Strong overall PCB layout/design background for complex boards.
• Strong understanding of the mechanical aspects of electronics design.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
