Design Engineer II

Role Overview: The Design Engineer II is responsible for managing the design, development, and integration of brake and clutch products, focusing on quality and cost improvements through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives. This onsite role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in manufacturing and R&D, supporting customer applications, and ensuring design accuracy using CAD and FEA tools. Key Responsibilities Manage electro-mechanical brake product portfolio and lead product improvement projects.Work closely with manufacturing, R&D, and customers to define requirements and develop solutions.Prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, and engineering change notices.Apply GD&T, perform tolerance stack-up calculations, and support component validation.Utilize CAD and FEA for product design and analysis, ensuring safety and quality standards.Document verification activities and support troubleshooting and testing efforts. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years in industrial product/process development, with hands-on troubleshooting experience.Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and FEA tools.Manufacturing experience and familiarity with high-reliability products are preferred.Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
