Design Engineer II

About the role

You will be responsible for circuit design, network planning, and order fulfillment within a semi-structured environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, customer focus, and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design circuits for network growth, interface with carriers, and implement core network designs.
• Review orders for technical accuracy, maintain customer commitments, and track order progress.
• Collaborate with service activation and field teams to resolve provisioning issues.
• Support field operations, review technical data, and update orders to meet deadlines.
• Participate in operational projects and maintain current knowledge of network technologies.
• Manage workload, prioritize tasks, and support customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications/data networking; 2+ years in design engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of network QOS, IP routing, Ethernet switching, and packet tagging mechanisms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google programs, and project management tools.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
