Design Engineer I

About the role

Provide engineered drawings for HVAC control systems, review specifications and contract drawings for assigned projects, and create accurate drawings and schematics using Visio. Size control valves, dampers, air flow stations, and similar components for HVAC systems. Design systems with typical DDC control lines such as Schneider Electric, Tridium, or similar. Write and understand sequences of operations for HVAC control systems, and assemble submittals and O&Ms for projects.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other STEM field with 1-3 years' experience in a relevant field
• 2+ years' experience in controls design engineering OR 5+ years as a controls technician
• Sound knowledge of electrical circuits, HVAC, and controls
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Ability to manage a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other STEM field with 1-3 years' experience in a relevant field (preferred)

Pay

Expected pay range: $63,525 - $84,700 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
