Design Engineer I

About the role

Provides conceptual design for specific projects and performs calculations, drawings and specifications relevant to HVAC, plumbing or other systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists higher-level engineers in design tasks
• Performs basic calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection or other systems
• Performs basic calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• PE license preferred
• Basic Knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc.
• Ability to read basic mechanical and plumbing plans
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, including Excel
