Design Engineer (EIT or PE)

Our client in Woodstock is seeking a Design Engineer to join a fast-paced and innovative engineering team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects in the engineering industry.

About the role

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about geotechnical design and has a solid understanding of structural analysis, soil mechanics, and retaining wall design. The ideal candidate will have a knack for spatial reasoning and a strong command of AutoCAD, CAD, Excel, MSEW, and ReSSA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree considered an added advantage)
• Valid EIT or PE license
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical design, structural analysis, and retaining wall design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD, Excel, MSEW, and ReSSA
• Excellent mathematical and spatial reasoning skills
• Solid understanding of soil mechanics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
