About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. Successful candidates should have 6-8+ years of engineering consulting experience, particularly in institutional and commercial buildings. They should be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software, and have experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction
  • Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives
  • Cookinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines
  • Design power and lighting building systems
  • Manage MEP Projects
  • Mentor junior level staff
  • Ensure compliance with Local Building Codes & Standards
  • Show strong technical leadership and management skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • EIT or PE License preferred
  • 6-8+ years of experience in designing and managing MEP Projects
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit Software
  • Experience with Educational, Healthcare, Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, and Civic/Institutional/Municipal Projects
  • Ability to mentor junior level staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Local Building Codes & Standards
  • Strong technical leadership and management skills
  • PREFERRED: LEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process
  • INTERESTED IN: Sustainable building design
