Responsibilities
- Prepare or assist with the design of site grading, drainage, utilities, soil erosion/sediment control measures, and stormwater management systems
- Prepare or assist with the preparation of NJDEP and other agency permit applications related to wetlands, flood hazard areas, and stormwater management
- Apply knowledge of local Municipal Land Use Ordinances to assist with the review of site plans, subdivision plans, plot plans, and stormwater management plans
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D design tools to prepare engineering designs and calculations
- Prepare engineering reports to support various design elements of projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare construction cost estimates
- Prepare or assist with the preparation of specifications for public bidding based upon the NJ Local Public Contracts Law and the NJ Local Public Schools Contract Law
- Engage in regular communication with project managers and other team members regarding the status and progress of assigned tasks
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
- EIT certification preferred
- 4-5 years of experience in Municipal and Private/Land Development engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

Pay
The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. The starting salary offered is contingent upon a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience/skillset, educational qualifications, and professional certifications, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
