About the role
A growing thin-gauge medical-device packaging thermoformer is looking for a Design Engineer. The team functions as its own nimble, flat, and collaborative business unit within a larger organization, combining the resources of the parent company with a close-knit, hands-on environment.
As a key member of a small design-engineering team, you will not be confined to a desk or screen. The role involves direct customer engagement—intake conversations, part reviews, trial runs—and cross-functional collaboration with tooling, engineering, and manufacturing teams. You will also spend time on the production floor to ensure manufacturability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in a technical field
- At least 5 years of thermoformed packaging design experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a highly regulated environment (pharma or medical device)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across internal and external teams
