Design Engineer

Position Overview

This is a highly visible opportunity within a growing organization where engineers have direct involvement in product design, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and documentation
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single lines, and bills of material
• Perform 2D and 3D design work using AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar platforms
• Support manufacturing and production teams with technical expertise
• Aid in product improvements, standardization efforts, and cost reduction initiatives
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications and applicable industry standards
• Cook up with internal stakeholders to support project schedules and production deadlines
• Provide technical support for sales, customers, and field personnel as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
• Minimum 1-2+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, control panels, motor control systems, or power distribution equipment
• Strong AutoCAD experience required
• Experience with 2D and/or 3D CAD design software
• Knowledge of UL, NEC, ANSI, or related industry standards is highly preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
