Design Engineer

About the Role

You will develop industrial desktop and web-based software solutions as part of an Agile/Scrum team. Responsibilities include architecting, designing, supporting, and documenting software/hardware products for customers and the CNC sales force. Occasional travel (10%) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software written in C++ and C#
• Test and release software, including validation of others’ work
• Deploy software to test teams or beta customers
• Create installation, maintenance, and user documentation
• Collaborate on coding strategies and software applications
• Support customers and internal users on software products

Requirements

• High School Diploma & GED
• At least 1 year of software development experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft C#/C++ and tools like Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Microsoft UI Frameworks (e.g., WPF)
• Development with network communication protocols (FTP, TCP, Pipes)
• Web development experience (ASP.Net, MVC/Razor, or Core)
• Front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
• Knowledge of software architectures (MVVM, MVC)
• Relational database programming (SQL, SQL Server)
• Experience with InstallShield

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Experience with industrial control systems
• Familiarity with FANUC CNCs

Pay

$81,120 – $130,874 per year (includes base salary, bonuses, and profit sharing). Final compensation depends on geographic location, education, and experience.
