Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
- Partner with customers and program engineers to understand product requirements, design intent, and technical objectives.
- Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives to ensure product designs are optimized for production, cost, quality, and reliability.
- Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and supporting documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, and product validation activities.
- Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and machine shop personnel to improve product designs and production processes.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of design improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors regarding component selection, manufacturability, and technical requirements.
- Ensure designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements, including AS9100 environments when applicable.
- Support new product development efforts from concept through production release.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Professional experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design development.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
