Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
• Partner with customers and program engineers to understand product requirements, design intent, and technical objectives.
• Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives to ensure product designs are optimized for production, cost, quality, and reliability.
• Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and supporting documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, and product validation activities.
• Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and machine shop personnel to improve product designs and production processes.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of design improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors regarding component selection, manufacturability, and technical requirements.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements, including AS9100 environments when applicable.
• Support new product development efforts from concept through production release.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Professional experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design development.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
