About the role
Design foundry tooling in Creo software using established standards and best practices for the No-bake molding process, with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tooling quotations (RFQ)
- Design new pattern tooling
- Resolve casting issues
- Re-gate and simulate processes
- Perform all other tasks as needed
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
Skills
Required
- Foundry Engineer Experience (tools quotation, casting scrap defects analysis & resolution, foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
- Foundry tooling design experience (pattern and core boxes, complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of parting lines, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
- Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast
- Strong CAD skills (Creo preferred)
- Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
- Casting simulation experience (SolidCast preferred)

Pay
$90,000 – $115,000 USD per year (Hodges, South Carolina)
