Design Engineer 1

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Onsite Monday–Thursday, remote on Friday)

Length: 3-year contract to start | Pay rate: $28/hr. on W2 basis

About the role

The Design Engineer will assist in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. This position supports continuous work across multiple active projects, involving the review of designs and planning for revisions.

Responsibilities

• Review designs and plan for revisions on various projects.
• Work on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments.
• Perform assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline products.
• Engage in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components, including their maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred; Chemical or Environmental considered).
• Proficiency with CAD and MicroStation.
• Experience with GIS, ESRI, or ArcGIS mapping.
• Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification.
