About the role
This position requires close supervision from the Design Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Completes design, layout and drafting of Production Orders for certain particular groups of basic semi tank trailers and assemblies.
- Is a proficient AUTODESK Inventor software operator.
- Completes the structure of B.O.M's (Bill of Materials) so that all parts and assemblies are located in the right manufacturing areas.
- Has some knowledge of ASME and DOT codes and understands that these codes govern construction and that variations of design must be reviewed by an Engineer.
Requirements
- Two years vocational drafting OR equivalent experience with CAD experience (6 month minimum experience).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Considerable knowledge of design/layout drafting.
- MRP (Material Requirement Planning) concepts.
- Working knowledge of the AUTODESK Inventor.
