Design Coordinator | Interior Designer

About the role

We’re looking for a Design Coordinator or Interior Designer to join our San Jose Interior Design and Architecture teams. In this role, you’ll play a key part in both architectural and interior design efforts—immersing yourself in concept development, planning, documentation, and technical execution from project kickoff through construction administration. You’ll help translate client needs into thoughtful solutions, support interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to creating spaces that elevate the human experience.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Interior Designers and Architects to establish a design concept by translating programming requirements into design solutions that enhance the user experience and meet the project goals.
• Prepare plans, renderings, sketches, or other visual aids for design presentations.
• Research, select, and specify materials to support design goals and project’s technical requirements.
• Work on a variety of project types and scales.
• Perform technical aspects of the interior design process from project setup through to construction administration.
• Assist with Furniture planning, design, and specification.
• Develop Artwork and Environmental Graphics concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Interior Design/Interior Architecture program or related field.
• 1 - 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Revit required; Experience with SketchUp, Enscape desired.
• Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Adobe Creative Suite desired.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
• Collaborative and professional work ethic.
• Ability to take initiative and work both in a team environment and as an individual.
• Attention to detail, organization skills, and an ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Pay

Salary Range: $36.64/hour - $37.76/hour depending on qualifications and experience level.
