About the role
We're looking for a highly organised, proactive, and personable Design Coordinator to join our team at our Bond Street showroom in New York.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating customer appointments and acting as the main point of contact between customers and the design team throughout the early stages of each project.
- Guiding customers through the deVOL design process, and discussing our different furniture styles, products and offerings.
- Preparing initial budget estimates to help customers understand anticipated project costs.
- Preparing customer folders, paperwork, estimated project costs, and collecting key project information to support the designers preparation ahead of design meetings.
- Collections design fees where applicable, and ensuring all project information is collected before design work begins.
- Responding to customer enquiries by email, telephone, and in person, providing the best level of customer service at every stage.
- Welcoming customers to the showroom, conducting showroom tours, and confidently presenting deVOL furniture, accessories, and discussing our design services.
- Maintaining accurate customer records, monitoring enquiries and customer conversions, and ensuring project information is kept up to date.
- Monitoring office supplies and samples, ensuring everything is well organised and stock levels are well maintained.
- Working closely with colleagues in both New York and the UK to ensure projects run as smoothly as possible.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the showroom by helping the team keep customer areas, offices, and the staff kitchen organised, well stocked, and presented to the highest standard.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in coordination, admin, logistics, ideally within a customer-facing environment.
- An ability to confidently use Microsoft Excel, Word, and similar alternatives (Google Sheets etc).
- A team player who’s reliable and enjoys working collaboratively.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with good attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- An open, personable, friendly approach and confidence when meeting customers.
Qualifications
Any previous customer facing experience would be looked at favourably. An interest in interior or kitchen design is a plus.
