Design Coordinator - Americas

Responsibilities

• Attend project coordination workshops, ensure adherence to brand standards, and assist design and engineering consultant teams to develop the approved project design through to the working drawings
• Affiliate in reviewing design consultant submitted drawings and specifications
• Develop and track project schedules
• Affiliate in following up on post site visit action items
• Accurately communicate projects status.
• Update the Director of Design & Technical Services on a regular basis and provide projections for all design aspects and program delivery
• Collaborate with team members, corporate teams, and external project teams to manage information flows and data exchange
• Track project and Aman Standards schedules, lists & briefs, ensuring archiving of all digital communications and documents
• Produce meeting minutes, presentations, and reports.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in design or architecture is required
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as an architect or interior designer, design coordinator or in a related role
• Familiarity with luxury hotel, residences and resort project delivery. Design & Technical Services background with luxury hotel operator preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, additional languages desirable
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity and interest in office management systems and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of Bluebeam Revu is desirable
