The Collaborative Design Experience
The Sales + Design Consultant at Freedom Design + Build, Inc. will work closely with our team to guide clients through our collaborative design experience from start to finish. This role is multi-disciplinary, covering client communication, estimating, contract writing, and marketing/design/production support.
Qualifications
- Qualify all prospects to determine if they align with Freedom Design + Build, Inc. criteria.
- Maintain tracking documentation of qualified prospects and manage the process to achieve both client and company goals.
- Follow up with active and older leads to determine readiness for project advancement.
- Understand client goals, needs, and desires, along with their budget and timeline.
- Explain Freedom Design + Build, Inc.’s process, including Phase 1 and 2 expectations, production process, and timelines.
- Actively participate in guiding clients through the emotional journey of large-scale construction projects in their homes.
- Attend meetings with designers to communicate and refine design concepts, budgets, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the Designer and Production team to gather subcontractor pricing, special order pricing, and material quotes.
- Produce an accurate final Construction Contract that matches the design and plans, and the estimate and client’s scope and budget goals.
- Present the contract to the client, emphasizing value, process, and unique experience, discussing scope and pricing details, and explaining terms and conditions.
- Attend weekly Sales and Marketing meetings to track current sales, leads, and progress towards sales goals.
- Support marketing campaigns as needed.
- Attend marketing events like open houses and design events to generate new leads.
Required Skills/Abilities

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and self-manage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to conduct sales appointments and gather necessary information to develop pricing and set expectations.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- A background in high-end construction sales.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to visit clients' homes, walk through the house, and explore areas involved in the project.
- Ability to drive and maintain a valid driver's license.
